People use the word corruption when they talk about officials taking bribes, corporations lobbying for bills that provide them with favorable treatment, central bankers printing money to steal from the people through inflation, and so on.
But the word “corruption” implies that something went wrong - that a clean, tidy, perhaps in the context of the religion of statism, even “holy” entity like the government has been corrupted, tainted, mis-used and abused.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
The bribes, graft, favoritism, and revolving doors are exactly the point of government: to enrich and protect the kleptocratic aristocracy. Who forms a government? It’s not “the people”. It’s the well-connected, powerful, and wealthy classes. The kings and queens, the nobles, the billionaires. Over half of the U.S. congress are millionaires. Politicians get body guards, chauffeurs, and fancy mansions - paid by money they steal from you and me - people they consider to be peasants. And when they have a war to fight, it’s not their sons they send, it’s ours.
Democracy is just the latest in a long series of propaganda tools intended to pacify the population into accepting their shackles by making them believe they have some modicum of control over the government.
When politicians, cops, lobbyists, generals, and soldiers commit crimes that undermine the lie that government is benevolent, the corporate media goes into spin-mode and claims that the government was “corrupted”, and that if only we (s)elected a different man to be in charge, things would be better. Of course, the people who are allowed to ascend ot the throne are just as much a part of the aristocracy as the corrupt politicians they’re supposedly meant to replace. They’re just new faces to trick you into thinking something has changed.
So don’t fall for the lies. When a politician embezzles money from a project they pushed through congress, or gives his own company closed-bid contracts worth billions from the government, understand that this is how the system is designed to work.
The government is a set of institutions and laws designed to cement the position of aristocrats at the top, and everyone else below them. They fear the free market because they don’t want to lose their wealth and power in a fair competitive fight.
Pay attention to the words used by the corporate media and politicians - they are a subtle yet effective form of mind control.

This is why I hate government in all its forms, and why we artists and writers need to get people thinking more, so that the culture of acceptance in this regard changes. People need to go back to how they were in the 19th century when they didn't accept this sort of thing.
Your so right when people there is too much corruption in government, what they don't seem to understand is that is what is was set up for. No government was created to help people. There is a book that I used to have don't remember the title but it was about war before civilization. Eventually a tribe would just cause enough harassment to the other group of people that they would give them tribute to leave them alone. Even the us constitution who asked to have a president. It was just the local elites putting themselves in power.
