For this week’s #FreedomMusicFriday I thought I’d share Lupe Fiasco’s “State Run Radio”. Lupe has a very anti-authoritarian message here, criticizing the government and military industrial complex for its endless propaganda, and telling people to “Build your own station, become your own DJ's”.
I also like this quote: “So beware what's on the airwaves, and be more aware of what's not getting airplay.”
Lupe points out that the omission of truth is just as important to propaganda as the dissemination of lies. I think the song is pretty catchy. What do you think?

Nice choice. I have never heard this. It's so very clear. I can't believe how long it took me to wake up. I hear a thing like this and look at the date and it was posted 8 years ago. Ha. Well, what is time. I am here, now. Thanks for the intro.
